Riley made her way to Legendâs bungalow after washing off her makeup and putting on regular clothes. Theyâd filmed yet another rough scene that day, and she knew Legend would be hurting. Things between them had been going smoothly. Riley noted that Legend seemed to be sleeping better and using less. She seemed less agitated. For herself, Riley was astounded at how good it felt to be around Legend. They were able to talk on so many levels. Legend hadnât been in the movie business for her entire life, but sheâd had enough experience with it to understand a lot about what went on. Legend was very personable, and laughed easily when she wasnât stressed. She was also an excellent lover, and Riley was completely shocked by her own bodyâs reaction to everything Legend did to her.
Sheâd never imagined herself as a lesbian, but she could easily see how she could get drawn into someone like Legend Azaria. With her dynamic personality and wild streak, she was just exciting enough to make Riley feel exhilarated to be around her. By the same token, when she wasnât using, Legend could sit calmly and quietly, simply holding Riley, with them both lost in their own thoughts. Their relationship was both comfortable and exciting.
Riley walked into Legendâs bungalow, looking toward the bed; predictably, Legend was lying on it with her arms up over her face. Riley crossed the room and lay down next to her, putting her hand on her stomach.
Legend grinned, dropping one arm to encircle her shoulders.
âRough one, huh?â Riley said.
âYeahâ¦â Legend said, breathing out slowly. âSometimes I actually forget how good she was at getting around my defenses.â
Riley nodded. âIt seems like she was pretty determined to be with you.â
âDespite everything I told her, she just never believed it.â
âAbout not loving her?â
âNo, about what the Marines would do if they caught us,â Legend said, her voice thick with emotion.
Riley wanted to ask what exactly had happened, but she knew Legend would have told her already if sheâd wanted her to know. There was a definite sense of dread from everyone on the cast and crew. It was obvious something had happened; the fact that Georgette was nowhere in evidence in Legendâs life spoke to a few possibilities. It was also well known that Legend had been discharged from the Marines for âconduct unbecoming an officer.â One of the tattoos she had on her left arm was a stylized set of letters, CUO, with a knife slashing through them and blood dripping from the hilt of the blade into a pool of rainbow blood. Riley had asked about the letters, and Legend had told her what they meant. It had only confirmed what people believed.
They lay together for a while, until Riley heard her phone ping. She pulled it out.
âWhatâs up?â Legend asked when Riley made a slight noise at what sheâd read.
âA bunch of the cast and crew are headed into Rabat to go to some club,â Riley said, putting her phone away.
